Über die Künstlerin
Eda Topaç (*1996) wurde in Berlin geboren. Sie hat einen Universitätsabschluss in Bildungs- und Erziehungswissenschaften und ist ausgebildete Mentorin und Mediatorin. Ihre Kunst ist autodidaktisch und losgelöst von erlernten Techniken. Sie ist eine Humanistin, Feministin und aufgeschlossene Atheistin.
Über die Kunstwerke
Topaç‘ Kunst versteht sich als Spiegel von alledem, was sie versteht und noch anstrebt zu verstehen. Zu einem gewissen Grad reflektiert ihre Kunst den aktuellen ‚Zeitgeist‘ und dessen Beeinflussungen, gleichermaßen ist die Kunst ein Ausdruck der inneren Welt der Künstlerin, dargestellt in Symbolen und Emotionen, von denen Geld und Status unberührt bleiben. Es wäre jedoch nicht gänzlich wahr, die Existenz und dessen Präsenz gerade oder vor allem aus der Kunstwelt abzustreiten. Doch entgegen dieser Polarisierung hält die Künstlerin es aufrecht, die Extreme und Paradoxien dieser Welt in Einklang und Harmonie miteinander zu bringen. Wenn Kunst nicht zu irgendeinem Zeitpunkt auch von Liebe handelt, kann es dann überhaupt noch als solche betitelt werden? Viele Werke der Künstlerin spiegeln den Herzschmerz vorangegangener Liebe wider. Der rote Faden ist jedoch die menschliche Erfahrung in sich, das zeitweilige menschliche Straucheln und die Notwendigkeit es stets besser zu machen, ohne dabei in überholte gesellschaftliche Konditionierungen zu fallen. Während Kunst anstrebt, den (inneren) Horizont zu erweitern, fußt Topaç‘ künstlerische Existenz darin, transparent zu machen, was es bedeutet, ein Mensch zu sein. Doch in erster Linie handelt es davon, nicht nur Mensch
zu sein, sondern viel mehr stets menschlich zu bleiben.

Mögest du dein Herzzentrum öffnen und alles ohne Angst spüren. Du bist sicher darin, zu fühlen und du bist sicher darin, zu heilen. Mögest du es freigeben, wachsen und loslassen. Es ist an der Zeit, dass deine Seele durchströmt wird.

Eda Topaç (*1996) was born in Berlin. She graduated from university with a degree in educational sciences and is a certified mentor and mediator. Her art is self-thought and detached from art studies. She is a humanist, feminist and open-minded atheist.
About the artwork
Topaç‘ art is a mirror of everything she understands and still wishes to understand. To a certain degree it reflects the current ‘Zeitgeist’ and its influences as much as it is a representation of an inner world expressed through symbols and emotions – a place where status and money don’t exist in its realm. It wouldn’t be completely honest to shut its existence and presence off – even, or especially in arts. But rather than polarizing the artist maintains the act of bringing the world’s extremes and paradoxes into balance and harmony.
If art is not about love at some point, can it even be called art? Many pieces mirror heartbreak and pain as the shadow side of love and its glory. Yet Topaç’ red thread is the human experience itself, its struggle and fight to make it right without falling into outdated societal conditionings. As much as mother earth is a pulsing part of the cosmos, so are her artworks living through its own colors and compositions. While art is supposed to widen your (inner) horizon, her artistic raison d’être is rooted in making transparent what it means to be human. But first and foremost, it is about what it takes to stay human.
